About our camp
Camp Opeongo is located on beautiful Lake Opeongo in the heart of Algonquin Park. Campers can expect a fun range of activities and all of the beauty this national park has to offer.
Camp Opeongo launched in 2022 with a committment to diversity, inclusion and belonging. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your stay feel more welcoming and safe. We pride ourselves on offering fully accessible activities for all campers, so be sure to let us know if you have any accessibility needs we should be aware of.
Registration process
- Submit your camper's application on our registration page
- We will review your application and follow up with any questions we have
- Once all applications have been submitted we will contact the guardians of registered participants to collect a non-refundable deposit
- Paying the deposit secures your camper's spot!
Packing list
Here's what we recommend bringing to camp. You are welcome to bring other personal belongings, but please no snacks as the wild animals will definitely find them! We have a well stocked kitchen and will accommodate all dietary preferences and restrictions.
All participants
- Clothes including warm pants and sweaters incase the temperature drops
- Rain gear including a jacket, rain pants and rain boots
- Stationary for writing home
- A comfortable pillow (we have our own supply too)
- Sunscreen, sun glasses and a hat
Musicians
- Your instrument (we can arrange a loaned instrument)
- Instrument case
- Your favorite music piece for auditions
Canoers (optional, we have our own gear to loan)
- Your personal life jacket
- Your personal paddel
- Your personal fishing equipment
